Suggested weekly review activities will continue to be posted each week by noon on Monday, so students can stay current in their learning! Please look at the choice boards in the 4th Grade Weekly Suggested Learning Activities link. Keep in mind, all activities are optional.  Students can complete as much as they would like.  Review activities are a mix of digital learning and activities that can be printed out or completed at home without a device!

As always, please contact your child's teacher if there are any questions or concerns.  Continue to check email and Class Dojo for updates and scheduled Zoom times with the students.

Please take some time to look through the resources provided by the county at PWCS Home Learning page.

What can I do to review or keep busy?
There are many great sites in your Clever account that you can access to review material we have already covered in class.  If you need help getting into your Clever please send your classroom teacher an email or send a Dojo message and we will try to help you.

What can I access in my Clever account?
Math:

In math we are learning about decimals. The children learned what a decimal is and how it is like fraction. The children have learned to read, write, and say numbers with decimals. Khan academy is a good resource for decimals, and always feel free to reach out to your child's teacher through email. We will be monitoring it closely.
IXL- IXL Review sheets are in Files and Documents on teacher's pages.
Khan Academy- once you are in you will have to activate your account.
Dreambox- review any skills we have already done.  I suggest trying out some fractions and geometry practice!

Reading:

We were reading poetry and learning about figurative language. Please keep reading! Read anything you are interested in reading. Do not feel like you must read poetry.
IXL- IXL Review sheets are in Files and Documents on teacher's pages.
Myon- there are tons of books, news, and videos that you can access.  Read a book and click on the journal tab to write a summary of what you read.  We can then go in and read your thoughts on the books.
Unite for Literacy - https://www.uniteforliteracy.com/ - There are many books that are geared toward our English learners on this site.  It is another option to look at for books to read that range in reading levels.
Email: Log in to your school email and write your teacher a letter.  We want to hear from you and it will help you work on your sentence structure and paragraph writing!
Benchmark- Another reading program with many options to select from
World Book Online- An online encyclopedia that allows children to learn about topics of their choice. There are maps, games, activities and projects to do available!

VA Studies:
SOLPass- You can complete any review activities up to Reconstruction.  Most of you should have taken your VA Studies books home so you can reference that, or there are study guides for each of the units on SOLPass.  Send your Mrs. Taylor or Ms. Smith a message if you forget how to get in.
BrainPop- everyone has access right now.  You can watch any of the videos we have already watched in class and complete the quizzes if you would like.
Quizlet- *not in your Clever* You can go to https://quizlet.com/taylorkl1 and interact with any of the sets that I have already created.
VA Trekkers- *Also not in Clever*  https://virginiatrekkers.com/ You can travel around Virginia with the Trekkers and learn more about some of the things we have already talked about.

Science:
We are nearing the end of our learning unit on force and motion. We learned about the types of forces that causes an object to move. We discussed how acceleration can affect an object by speeding it up, slowing it down, or changing the object's direction. Work with force and motion can continue be accessing BrainPop.com and or SOLPass.org

Creative Fun:
There are several resources in your Clever account that we have not had time to explore. Now is the perfect time to try out Wixie . I would love to check on any products that you produce and see how creative you are!
