This is Mrs. Edwards 13th year as the School Counselor at Sinclair Elementary. She enjoys working and helping students to be the best learners. Mrs. Edwards is a graduate of Norfolk State University and George Mason University. She is married and lives in Fredericksburg, VA. She has three daughters and two granddaughters.

This is Ms. Simpson 6th year as a School Counselor at Sinclair Elementary. She had spent her previous 12 years in education as a classroom teacher in PWCS. She is from California. She loves to read and self-care. Her favorite place is the beach.


 

Vision Statement

The students at Sinclair Elementary, a professional learning community that provides a world class education, are lifelong learners that will reach their fullest potential throughout their educational and career endeavors.  Every student at Sinclair elementary is provided with the opportunity to participate in an individualized, comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program provided by two highly qualified school counselors. This program will address the academic, social/personal and career aspects of all students. The school counseling program at Sinclair Elementary is one that provides students with the skills to exceed in an ever-changing global society.

Mission Statement

 All students at Sinclair Elementary School will be provided equity and access to a comprehensive school counseling program to reach their full potential to achieve academically, socially, and emotionally in order to pursue their post-secondary career goals. The school counseling department will be a community-friendly environment that will be student focused and collaborative with all students and stakeholders thereby empowering every student for success to become lifelong learners in a global society.




PWCS cares deeply about students' emotional well-being during their time away from school. If a student is in need of emotional support during this time, please feel free to send an email to one of the counselors. A school mental health or health professional will answer and offer virtual support to students to the best of their ability. This email is not to be used for emergency situations as it will not be monitored 24 hours a day. If a student is ever in an emergency situation he/she is encouraged to call 911 or utilize one of the resources listed below:
